All I Want For Christmas Is… A Twitter Edit Button
We’ve all been there, you think you’ve got the perfect Tweet to send out. Within the character limit? Check. The username is correct? Check. Right, we’re ready to send. Two minutes later, you’re hit with a reply from the grammar police. The question remains, when will there be a Twitter edit button?
This old age question has been about since Twitter started. Media Blogger Matthew Keys believed Twitter was working on an edit button back in 2013. This was revealed after uncovered anonymous Twitter employees testimonies stated that an edit button was being rolled out. After that, we didn’t hear anything for a while.
Further, 2016 comes along. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweets that an edit button is on the way.
not sure why you're quoting this tweet but yes, a form of edit is def needed. But for everyone, not just those w badges

Wrong. Twitter continues to go dark on the subject, with no further updates. Still no edit button. Grammar police remain strong on Twitter.
We’re back, Jack Mentions A Twitter Edit Function, 2018.
Don’t worry. As a Social Media Agency in Manchester And London, we’re here to give you the lowdown. Speaking at India’s Capital of New Delhi, the Twitter CEO claims the company is ‘carefully’ considering it.
Jack argues that users may use the edit button to change tweets to controversial or issuing statements:
“You have to pay attention to what are the use cases for the edit button. A lot of people want the edit button because they want to quickly fix a mistake. That’s a lot more achievable than allowing people to edit any tweet all the way back in time.”
Further, Jack states that Twitter will not have unlimited editing for anyone. Our guess is that only users that are verified shall have access to this feature.
However, the Twitter CEO states a ‘quick edit button’ may be “more achievable.” Users may have access to a timeframe which enables them to edit their tweets ASAP.
But, enough about that. What does our Queen of everything think?
I had a very good convo with @jack this weekend at Kanye’s bday and I think he really heard me out on the edit button.
